About the Shattered Earth

Shattered Earth is the name of a world I've been building for years for a book I never wrote...

When I was young I would read a lot, be that Harry Potter, the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Eragon, or the hunger games (as well as many smaller series). Because I live a lot inside my head by nature I naturally also begun to think about my own made up worlds and adventures.

While busy with life I never stopped the daydreaming or making up stories, and so over the years one expansive vibrant world was built more and more. A story about a broken world, not entirely unlike our own, that was filled with fear and evil, but also hope and good. A place that was hard to understand and even harder to survive in, where bold heroes would battle a grim fate to forge a bright destiny.

In more recent years I started to write some of these things down, mostly for my own Dungeon and Dragons like roleplaying with my friends, to give them a unique world to adventure in. Something with new rules and places, that is just a bit different from what already existed.

What this is all about

I am very critical of the world we live in, I personally think many of us are lost. While I will keep the specific reasons for this to myself for now, I still want to be a small voice in the dark that perhaps helps someone to find an ember of hope or direction.

To do this I wanted to start sharing this world. As someone with English as a second language I cannot promise brilliant writing, but I hope to make up for it with heart.

Perhaps, if both of us are lucky, you might be inspired by the heroes of this story to also do what is right, even in the long dark, because that is really all we humans can do in the night. We hurdle around a fire and tell stories, so that when we finally see the dawn we start moving towards a world that is just a tiny bit better than it was before us.

The Shattered Earth

While there are some constants in this world, overall it is in a flux. Be that races, characters, places, or even natural laws and magic. Very few "hard" systems exist in a place as jumbled and broken as the earth is in our story.

Explore with me as we get to know the Pact and their enemies, Mishanar and his friends, each heroes in their own right, and a fantastical world full of good and evil.
