DWARVES
Dwarves are rather small but wide people, muscle and fat, rather rough and very tough. They live inside the earth, in tunnels and halls, fortified with walls and gates on the outside, or sometimes hidden away. They mine and craft and refine their skills, love to drink after a days hard work and do not fear a brawl or fight. Deeply rooted in their love for their ancestors and honor, as well as duty, they are people of their word. Thus when they offered Medivhus to join the Pact as its masons he was quick to accept.
Dwarves only pray to mother earth as their deity, as they have no need for any other world or promises. They believe that anything earned by sweat and blood is more valuable than talents or gifts, because of this they own powerful heirlooms and most of their traditions are kept in high regards.
Dwarves follow a king, one from an old bloodline that once united all the tribes under his rules. They can live a few hundred years and believe that all of them are reincarnations of those that came before. At birth a seer will inspect the soul of the child and declare their standing according to its might, giving rewards to some blessed families that bore reincarnations of past kings and heroes.
They are experts at metallurgy, although the ironides might have them beat in this area, and stone masonry. Their magic is earth and soul magic, but only a few bear the gift of magic at all, thus their seers and shamans are important to them. Dwarves also know how the stone and minerals sing, seem to almost have a magical ability at finding precious metals underground and can craft stone buildings and statues that strike awe in the hearts of those that are able to see them.
After being afflicted by the Shattering they wandered their new world until they joined the Pact, its leaders gave them access to a mountain range close to the Ironide cities, in which they have build a kingdom since.
