ELVES

Physiology

Elves are rather tall and fair people, they are thing and have defined muscles. They have no beards and prefer long hair and their skin color ranges from white like ivory to silver or golden. Depending on their origin and traditions some have many body markings while others use magic to almost seem part tree. Elves are strong and live very long lives, they also have a proclivity to natural magic, and while other races struggle to focus these in their new earth, elves usually use foci which are managed by multiple casters at all times to bypass the turbulent magic flows of the shattered world.

Society/Politics

Elves value age and wisdom, nature and order. Their society is a reflection of this, as their leaders are their elders and while they have a king, most of them are organized in smaller villages deep in the forests, mountains, or oceans. The king has a council of advisors that are experts in their own fields and highly respected, this means that while the king has the final decision for most actions, that it is frowned upon if he ignored his advisors recommendations. Elves prefer the arts over combat, creation instead of destruction, they are still in disagreement about their way to approach the shattered world, but they have become great supporters of the Pact.

History

There are many types of Elves, and all of them have different legends and stories about their history, all that is known is that they came from a peaceful yet dangerous world. They learned to live in a synergy with their world and were not in need of much before everything changed.

Science

While Elves do have some knowledge of the science behind the world, they do not research or analyze it. They simply learn from experience how the world works and try to act accordingly, creating balance around them.

Magic

Elves are highly proficient in natural magic, their foci based magic can withstand even the wild magic of the shattered earth. While they know plenty of attack spells, they usually prefer to support and heal rather than hurt other living beings. But as they know nature and how cruel it can be, they are willing to use devastating magic if the need for it arises.

Buildings

Elves usually live in wooden huts or on platforms in high trees, it is important to them to not destroy the beauty of their environment with their own creations. Since they also prefer to live in smaller groups and villages, they have only few big buildings and all of them are meant strictly for important events.

Craftsmanship and Trade

As Elves are friends of nature they know how to grow food and herbs, how to shape wood without cutting it, and what one needs to survive the wild. They trade only with Pact races and are careful about the secrets they are willing to share.

Religion

Elves knew the gods in their old world, although they have lost contact since the Shattering occurred, they still have faith in their gods and their equal love for each other. Their form of communicating with the gods is a synergy with nature, they do not require buildings or symbols to worship as nature is always nearby.

Habitat

Elves live secluded from the world, at least they did in their old world, having villages all over in many types of terrain. On the Shattered Earth they are living in forests close to their allies, as new dangers arise almost daily and only a fool would try to tame this wild world on their own.
