INRIDAS
Inridas are born of shadow and light, because of that they dont solely exist in our world, but instead in two realms at once. This leads to them being more resistant against physical attacks but weaker against magic which can affect their shadow side. Even tho their looks are often described as demonic and evil they are not as evil as expected. In any case Inridas are out for themselves and their main goal is to increase their own power to a point of superiority, this was their main reason for joining into the Pact.
Physiology
Inridas are small and thin in stature, but this does not mean that they are weak. Because of their link to the shadow realm they are stronger than their looks would make anyone expect, furthermore this connection gave them some unique physical features. Inridas have skin in purple colors and almost always silver hair, furthermore they have horns in all shapes and sizes and sharp, pointy teeth. They usually age around 160 to 200 years and their general height is roughly that of humans.
Society
Inridas society is focussed on honor and might, for this reason, they value all forms of strength, this means they value knowledge and craftsmanship the same as magic and pure physical power. They tend to be judged by other races, mostly because of their looks, and this the reason they hesitated to join the Pact for a long time.
Politics
Inridas are generally lead by two ministers, one for magical and one for physical power. The former one needs to be the strongest and best in tactical knowledge, while the latter one has to be especially connected to the shadow realm and magic, with a distinct outlook into the plans for any future advancement of their race. These roles are given out by beating the last minister in a duel and any Inridas can challenge them, for a declination of such a challenge would dishonor the minister to a point of him not being worthy called Inridas. Because of their nature of planning ahead, they would never attack out of the blue or without reason.
History
Inridas weren't connected to two worlds once upon a time, but then a special Inridas was born. This one rose quickly in strength and knowledge, leading to him taking both minister posts at once and this particular feat of power impressed their gods who blessed them in return. That blessing connected the Inridas to the shadow realm, changing them forever. Ever since then Inridas are trying to rise to that power level again, impressing the gods another time in hopes of gaining another blessing.
Science
As Inridas value knowledge like physical strength, they try to gather all knowledge they can receive and because of that, they are equal to any science the Pact races share with each other.
Magic
Inridas as a race existing in two realms at once, one of physical prowess and one of magical forces, are exceptionally good at learning and understanding any magic that is not light or divinity related. They tend to learn more spells than human counterparts, but not as much as some other races.
Furthermore their connection to the shadow realm blessed Inridas with a few special abilities, the first one is dematerialization which enables them to teleport short distances. This is no real teleport but a movement through the shadow realm which is invisible to non-Inridas. Their second ability is a demonic form, they grow black wings and seem to be engulfed in shadows so dark that they can even be seen at night and while they are in this demonic form they gain inhuman speed and reactions, and some of them are said to gain special abilities to manipulate the thoughts of other intelligent beings. This form can never last long and they are severely weakened afterwards.
Buildings
Inridas lived in simple stone houses until they joined the Pact, except for their own cities which are still made out of those, they usually live in Pact Fortresses and cities because these are more advanced.
Craftsmanship and Trade
Inridas dont have any special craftmanship above the level of humans, they used to fulfill contracts in exchange for knowledge, which was unique to them but is a normal Pact task by now.
Religion
Inridas pray to one god, he doesnt have a name but it is said that he looks like the shadow touched Inridas. They forgot the proper ways to worship him when their world was ripped out of existence but a general believe is that their god is walking amongst them, silently observing and judging, waiting for another chosen one to lead them into a new age of power.
Habitat
Most Inridas live in Pact cities and fortresses in the Westlands but a few resident in pure Inridas cities in the dark swamp close to the human capitol, this is the case since it is said to be the place with the strongest connection to the shadow realm and Inridas feel stronger while being close to it.
