WIRDLES

Wirdles are a race of very small, smart and quick squirrel looking humanoids. They are beings of pure natural magic and most of them love to explore the world, however dangerous that might be. All of them are open and friendly, they don't distrust and they don't hate. Wirdles don't age and they can't die, this means if a Wirdle loses its body it will just be reborn in something they call Hiveseeds. Hiveseeds are located in a cave no other species ever saw or actually heard of, these are little plant pods in different colors which determine the special ability of a Wirdle. While all Wirdles are generally good, some might be more active or passive and some like animals more than humanoids. Once a Wirdle is reborn they keep their memories but their likings and personality shift, depending of the Hiveseed which bore them. Their clothing is usually magically generated and extremely sturdy.

Physiology

Wirdles are around 40-80 centimetres tall, weighs only a few kilograms and look humanoid with squirrel tails and ears. Wirdles are blessed with incredible strength and stamina for their size, thanks to their magic nature. Their fur color can be any color of the rainbow and gives someone with the right knowledge hints about their personality. They are neither fat nor very slim and their eyes are always golden. Wirdles don't possess gender and are sometimes weirded out by the way other species replicate.

Society/Politics

Wirdles live in one big group and they rarely disagree with each other. Because of their religion they dont need a leader or government. Tasks, like creating food and clothing or similar things, are fulfilled by everyone together and because of that their society has no ranks or jobs.

History/Religion

Wirdles are one of the few races of earth who know where they came from and why. A god without a name created them as protectors of knowledge and nature. Since the dawn of their world they started to collect knowledge and specimen of each plant and animal they could find. After they completed their task of collecting things they went on to keep and learn from it. When the earth they knew got destroyed a lot of them became confused and afraid, nonetheless they succeeded in containing everything they had collected and once they understood that they now lived in an ever changing world all of them found back to their usual and happy nature. Almost everything in Wirdle nature comes from their divine creation, this means that new Wirdles just come to live every once in a while, they answer their questions by prayer and if there is another way they would never choose violence as a solution to anything.

Science

Wirdles dont have need for science on their own but they try to collect the knowledge about it and thus were a great help when they joined the Pact.

Magic

As purely magical beings wirdles dont need foci or rituals to use their magic. The magic they use is a form of nature manipulation, for example they can speed up plant growth or calm a wild animal or use healing magic. The latter one is rarely used since they know about the healing properties of every herb and plant and they prefer to not use the powers their god gave them if there is no dire reason to do it.

Buildings/Habitat

Wirdle buildings are made into trees or smaller plants, they dont build in the direct sense of building but use their magic to let the plants grow in a way they need. All Wirdle buildings are in one location, the same Cave their Hiveseeds are growing in, because of that no other species knows the location or actual looks besides the tales of Wirdles they met.

Craftsmanship and Trade

Wirdles are masters in the creation of magical clothing and trade those against knowledge. Since they became members of the Pact they stopped trading with non-Pact races and are creators of clothing for all Pact soldiers. Furthermore, they are the tacticians of the Pact and oversee all bigger operations and libraries.
